Funds have been made available from AAUW-NJ and donations from businesses, various governmental agencies, AAUW-NJ branches, organizations, individuals, and institutions. Donations are a tax-free advantage for the donor.
As proposals are received, they will be evaluated by AAUW-NJ members according to the guidelines. Proposals must be submitted providing a two-month (at minimum) allotment of time for the evaluation. One or more proposals may be submitted for different projects; a second grant will be given, as funds are available.
The grant program is an opportunity for branches and members to work together. Partnerships with schools and community-based organizations are encouraged. Suggested activities include -
